What is a Text Response activity?

The Text Response page can be used to collect written responses. This is ideal for collecting quantitative data, opinions, written assignments or reports.

Quick steps: how to create & edit a Text Response page

  1. Open Authoring. Create or open a , or .

  2. Open the Editor.

  3. Add a Text Response page. Select the + icon and choose Text Response from the Add Page options.

  4. Enter a title and a question. Up to 24 and 144 characters respectively.

  5. Write a placeholder. Leave instructions for the user on what they are expected to submit.

  6. Options. Change the Theme Colour, as desired.

  7. Save.

Theme Colour. Select an alternative colour to override the theme default.
