Create an image selection activity.

What is an Image Select page?

The Image Select page prompts users to answer a question by picking a card. Add a title and a question, then upload up to 4 cards. The user will need to select the correct card.

Quick steps: how to create & edit an Image Select page

1. Open Authoring. Create or open a Learning Story, Assessment or Survey content type.

2. Open the Editor.

3. Add an Image Select page. Select the + icon and choose Image Select from the Add Page options.

4. Edit the page. Select the page to view Page Options, then select Update to add and edit content.

   • Enter a title and a question (24 and 144 characters respectively).

   • Change the background colour if desired.

   • Select a question type: Assessment or Survey.

   • Add up to 4 cards (420px x 588px, portrait orientation). The first card should be the correct option (if Assessment type is selected). The cards will be randomly shuffled when presented to the user.

5. Create a Response (Optional). Select the Add Response button to provide user feedback for correct and/or incorrect answers.

How do I create a Response?

Select the Add Response button and upload an image or icon and enter the dialog text. Dialogs that have over 40 characters will show as a pop up.

How does Image Select work?

The Image Select page presents a user with text instructions and up to four cards - one of which is the correct response to the text instruction or question.

The user can tap to select a card and will then be able to drag and place the card onto the drop space provided.

You can add a response to provide user feedback for correct and incorrect answers.

What are the question types in the Image Select activity?

• Assessment - there is only one correct answer and attempts may be limited. Scoring/Grading Mode
• Survey - there is no correct answer.

What are the image specifications for the Image Select activity cards?

Each card should be portrait and be at least 420x588px big or at a higher ratio (.svg, .jpg or .png format).

The first card that you upload will always be the correct one. If there is an issue, re-upload all cards, making sure that the first one you load is the correct one. When presented to the user, the cards will automatically be shuffled.
